My Digital Studio

Ok,
In case you were wondering ...yes, my banner was made with My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!.  I am still working on it but it features my favorite stamp set "Thoughts and Prayers".  It is so versatile!  I hope to use it to make cards for the church card ministry that I am trying to get started.  I will post tommorrow one of the many cards I have made using this set.
Here is another blast from the past.  I believe I C.A.S.E.D. this one from someones blog. If it was you let me know and I will give you your credit.  It uses retired DSP but it also uses the Butterfly die!

Catching up on card posting.

I'm a little behind on posting pictures so I went into my file and pulled out a couple that I have made. This one does use a current stamp set Lovely As A Tree but the DSP is retired.  I will post recipes tommorrow.

HALLOWEEN STAMP CAMP

Ok, here it is...the long awaited samples of what we will be making at the Stamp Camp.  I have a bit of tweeking to do on a few things, but as a whole I think you are going to love this Stamp Camp.
I may change one of the projects, I will let you know.
I did end up changing the 2nd card top row on the left.  In my mind I thought it would be neat for the little skeleton to lose a few bones, but it did not translate well on paper.

RSVP by October 9th HERE!

Your payment holds your spot in class. No refunds given due to preorder of class materials. In the event you need to cancel your attendance in class, a packet of supplies with instruction or links to photos will be held for you or mailed when you send postage of $4.95..

Great Oaks Community Church

This past Saturday my felllow demo and upline Tami C. did a little "Ladies Night Out" at Great Oaks Community Church. It was a fairly decent turnout. We demonstrated a pop-up card and the ladies were able to make a few of them and also some christmas tags with the new holiday stamps sets. I liked this idea very much and will be presenting the idea to other churches in the area. Though we were not allowed to sell anything at the event, we were able to get out names out there and meet some super great ladies. Thanks for having us Great Oaks Community Church! Perhaps Tami and I will present the idea of maybe starting a monthly card workshop/ministry with them in the furture. I think some of the ladies we talked to might like that.

I'm Back!

So,
Convention was a blast! I cannot remember when I had so much fun or laughed so hard! I have to say it wasn't just about learning new business techniques or making awesome cards. It was spending time with friends and fellow women/men who have the same passion as I do. Now I will admit long nights with a copius amount of alcohol may have helped in the humor department. Now I don't drink, well ok I do, but usually it is only on the holidays for toasts. I let loose, no husband and no toddler. I was with 2 great women which I got to learn more about in the few days we were there. It was AWESOME! I can't wait to do it again next year.
Now, the plane ride I could do without! ***WARNING..gross description about to be unveiled*****
I threw up a little bit in my mouth upon landing! There, I said it and I admit it. I get car sick so I should have known better and taken somthing. I was deathly afraid of falling out of the sky to begin with and then to make matters worse the motion sickness did me in. I couldn't even enjoy the scenery from up high. Oh well next year.
I took a few pictures there but my camera is old and heavy so I left it at the hotel most of the time. I will get them posted soon, I promise.
I am in the process of having my blog redesigned so stay tuned for the new unveiling. Let's see, what else...oh we were given a challange at convention to see if we could get 3,000 new recruits by the end of August, if we do, then we get a free copy or our new Digital Studio that is coming out sometime in September/October. So if you would like to sign up with me they are also having a special on the starter kit for $85.00! Even if you sign up just for the 20% discount for yourself it is a great deal! So call or email me if you would like to do so. I would love to be your upline and then you too can participate at convention next year!!!
STAY TUNED for pictures!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2009.....

So, it is official. I am getting on a plane for the first time in my life and I am flying to Salt Lake City Utah to attend the 2009 Stampin' Up! Convention! WhooHoo!!! I cannot tell you how terrified and excited I am to be going. It took some convincing to my husband because he is going to have to stay home alone with our 2 year old for a whole week! If you know me, you know that I believe that if God intended us to fly he would have given us wings like birds or angels. So lets just say that if alcohol is offered on the flight I will definately be drinking it. I am going to have to get a prescription of something to calm my nerves or there is going to be a Final Destination moment happening and well we don't want that to happen because its Salt Lake City of bust baby!!! WhooHOOO! I am going to be going with my Upline Tami C. and fellow demonstrators Lyn S. and Jen H.! It is going to be a blast!

With Sorrow brings Spring...

What a time of it I have had lately. Let me tell you the start of 2009 has been rough! My grandpa passed in January and then my Father In-Law just recently passed, and then my grandma was put into the hospital for her heart. I turned 35 in April and that was a big downer for me. So I have had no time or the desire to stamp. I have been really down and generally just not happy.
But...things are a changin! Spring is here, well almost summer now and the lilacs have bloomed the birds are singing and the squirrels are tormenting my dogs. So on with the show! I don't have time for boohoo's and tears, I have a business to get back up and running, so that is what I am going to do. So from here on out no more sad news, just pretty scrapbook pages, cards and 3-D items. So horray! I'm back! Stay tuned for some card uploads, promotions and a change to the way my blog looks. I think you will be happy with what you see.

My beloved Grandpa has passed

It is with great heart break that I have to announce my grandpa's passing. He will be missed, I loved him dearly. I will not be posting for the next couple of days so I can spend time with my family. I will come back stronger and full of fight and I cannot wait to get more cards and scrapbook pages posted. See you then.
